We're back!

Hey! Sorry for skipping out on the blog for a couple months. It got pretty hot and gross here for a minute and we didn't do much except stay inside or go to the pool. There was also some tension between North and South Korea which had Kasey working more than usual for a little while and kept us close to home. Everything is fine now, phew! Fall has begun here (sorry Henderson family) and it's been wonderful so far! Our days are around 80 and our nights are in the 60s. The fields are starting to turn orange and yellow and the farmers will starting harvesting the rice soon. I'm excited to live somewhere with four seasons, a little nervous about the snow though! I've been doing research and I've started a lengthy bucket list of places I want to visit and photograph this fall. I hear Korea is beautiful when the colors change!

Anyway, onto the most important part of our day : Eisley :) Her vocabulary and personality are blossoming more and more each day. She makes everything funnier and we're constantly laughing with her around. She calls everyone "Bob" and we definitely did not teach her that! She says 3-4 word sentences like "here ya go, mama!" while she brings me a fake meal from her play kitchen or "dada, cmon, bath ready!" when she wants Kasey to do bath time with her. [Which is almost every night, thanks man.] Her newest phrases are "bless you" and "sorry." She can count to five and still loves animals, books and being outside. She laughs every time a car honks and likes to "scare" us by being a shark or lion and then giggles when we ask her "where's Eisley?!" Most days you can find her crawling around on the ground acting like a puppy and licking our faces for kisses, going "fast!" running around the house or playing in her play room. She's going to be Little Red Riding Hood for Halloween and she I can't wait. I can't believe we're starting to plan her second birthday! Where does the time go!? :(

Eating dinner with her best friend Roland or "Rollie." He was also her first kiss :)

Kasey bought her her first baby doll one night and it was love at first sight.

Peek a boo or "peeta boo"

We've been watching "Room on the Broom" on Netflix lately [super cute movie for kids] and she loved wearing this witch hat like in the movie.

We'd put her in the guest shower on hot days and let her play in the cold water like a splash pad. She loved it.

Her first [iced] hot chocolate, she thought she was pretty cool and kept saying "hot."

So last weekend Kasey surprised us and came home for the weekend from a two week training he was at in Seoul. Eisley was in the middle of getting her second molars and feeling awful so it was perfect timing. We decided to get out of the house on Saturday to try and distract her a little bit. We went to Anseong Farmland, it's about 15 minutes from our house and so fun. It's a petting zoo with a few kid rides and a tractor ride. The land was so beautiful and we were surprised because it is like right in town. We can't wait to go back in the winter when they do sledding.

This past weekend was Chuseok in Korea. It's a three day holiday that the Koreans celebrate with lots of food and family, like our Thanksgiving. With this holiday comes lots of traffic so we stayed home this weekend. We went grocery shopping on Saturday night and as we were leaving the commissary we decided to see what movies were playing. We had about an hour to catch Hotel Transylvania 2 so we unloaded the groceries and headed back. Eisley loved it and was mesmerized the entire time.

We miss the states and all of our families but we are enjoying our adventure here! I hope you all had a good weekend, I have warm banana bread waiting for me and Eisley so our Monday isn't turning out too bad!
